Anyone know about Rear projection LCD TVs ?
I have a Toshiba model and now I've got 3 perfect circles on the top right of my screen. 1 circle is red,1 is yellow and 1 is blue and they are quite obvious on a pale background, although barely visible on a a dark.
It is still under a cover plan agreememt, but the guy who came to repair it said it is screen burn and this is not covered. I complained and they are sending another engineer today, but I don't want to be fobbed off, because I don't know about these things !
I read that screen burn is not a problem associated with LCD TVs .................. please can someone advise me ?
EVERYBODY thought screen burn could not happen to LCD projectors, but they do....
Now, get it repaired UNDER your contract and STOP doing what you were doing to CREATE that BURN....
One guy watched MSNBC all day...Replaced it, but with a STERN warning about his bad habits....Next time he doesn't get the burns replaced.....
You should at least get that...ONE replacement. Everybody thought LCD was unburnable....even the TV techs and engineers...
That's why I recommend ONLY DLP projection and LCD PANEL TVs and No Plasma....
BY the way....IF these circles are SEPARATED, Did the BBC logo go to a Three color circle or is it still white?
We get LATER versions of the BBC here, due to the PAL to ATSC conversion....
